Temporary Worker – Charity Worker Visa (Tier 5)
Our immigration specialists have helped many of our clients who have come to the UK to work for charitable institutions. This visa will help you if you plan to do unpaid voluntary/ charity work in the UK. It allows you to remain in the UK for up to 12 months or the duration specified in your certificate of sponsorship (plus 14 days, whichever is shorter). It allows you to study or take on a second job, providing it is the same role as your main job, or it is a role on the Shortage Occupation list. We can discuss this further with you if applicable.
ELIGIBILITY
You can apply for a charity worker visa if:
- You want to do unpaid voluntary work for a charity.
- You are over 18 years of age.
- You’re from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland.
- Hold a Certificate of Sponsorship from a charity that hold s a valid UK sponsor licence.
- Be able to financially support yourself while in the UK. You will need Atleast £1,270 in your personal savings bank account.
You must have a certificate of sponsorship from a licensed employer before you can apply to come to the UK to work. The work you do in the UK must relate to the work of your sponsor organisation.
