Senior or Specialist Worker [Intra-Company Transfer Visa (Tier 2)]
Our immigration experts are continuously working alongside accomplished clients who have entered the UK and successfully established themselves as specialist workers for employers in the UK.
A Senior or Specialist Worker visa has replaced the Intra-company Transfer visa, previously the Tier 2. A Senior or Specialist Worker visa allows you to come to or stay in the UK to do an eligible job at your employer’s UK branch.
ELIGIBILITY
To qualify for a Senior or Specialist Worker visa, you must:
- be an existing employee of an organisation that’s been approved by the Home Office as a sponsor
- have a ‘certificate of sponsorship’ from your employer with information about the work you will do in the UK
- do a job that’s on the list of eligible occupations
- be paid at least £45,800 per year
To be eligible for a Senior or Specialist Worker visa you need to:
- have a valid certificate of sponsorship from your employer
- have worked for your employer outside the UK
- do a job that’s on the list of eligible occupations
- be paid the minimum eligible salary required for your job
You need to be employed by a licensed sponsor to apply to live in the UK. Your sponsor checks that you can do the job they’re hiring you for and if it qualifies you for a visa. If so, they will assign you a certificate of sponsorship to prove this. They must also give you other information you need when you apply, for example how much you’ll be paid.
The criteria given here is not exhaustive. The prerequisites dictated by the immigration framework for all visas are lengthy and often, complex. If you are unsure about any of these matters please contact us and we will answer your queries.
